“Cast Ice Building”
Nicole invites you into the world of her whimsical creations. Here is one of many architectural pieces she has created!
About Nicole Batt
Nicole Batt is a Long Island Writer & Illustrator who developed her passions early on. Being inspired from a young age, Nicole enjoyed writing imaginative stories as well as drawing cartoon illustrations.
In 2014, Nicole received her degree in Psychology. She became fascinated with the mechanics of the human brain. Combining her interests of brain neuroplasticity and her love for writing and art, Nicole has developed a unique style for both creative disciplines. Her writing and illustration implicates detail to an extremity, mirroring the idea of how her own mind works. She connects her emotions to her projects, emphasizing the importance of little details, aka seeing what you cannot really see.
Beginning professionally as an artist, Nicole started her career teaching cartooning to children and adolescents. She now runs her own Art Workshop business providing unique, quality, and therapeutic art instruction across all ages.
In addition, Nicole has showcased her work at numerous Long Island Art Fairs, NY State Fairs, and at Treme Restaurant and Jazz Club.
Currently, Nicole is writing and illustrating a Young Adult fiction series. Her collection of new artworks consists of both digital illustrations and mixed media oil paintings.
City of Stars
This piece came from my heart. Traveling to Paris at a young age, I always dreamed of putting my memories of this journey in my artwork. City of Stars sold at it's first showing.
Frozen on 5th Avenue
From a young age, I loved NYC. I traveled into the city frequently, and I was always in awe of the uniqueness in it -- similar to my artwork. The buildings in this painting actually were demolished, so I am very happy I captured the essence of them forever in this painting.
Winter's Stars
Every time I look at a snowflake, I think of it as a winter star. This piece was sold during this past holiday season bringing joy during these somber times.
Giving Back To The Community
Supporting worthwhile organizations is a passion of mine. I was asked to design a popsocket for the Women's Sports Foundation 2020 fundraising.
Showcase at Treme
I had the honor of being asked to showcase my Artwork at Treme Jazz Club & Restaurant. I was able to finish "Frozen on 5th Avenue" just in time for the event which ran for the month.
